of glittering 
leaf permission 
to rest.

Kōan Brink was born and raised in Minnesota. They are the author, most recently, of a chapbook of poems, *Pale Interiors *(The Song Cave, 2024). They are currently a PhD student in English Literature at The University of Texas at Austin, where they study late medieval and early modern poetry.
